Real Estate in Restructuring:

In virtually every corporate reorganization, in or out of bankruptcy, real estate decisions are an important part of the turnaround plan. In some cases, real estate might be the first or second largest asset, and an integral part of the plan of reorganization. In smaller entities, where real estate might consist of only one or two assets or liabilities, the restructuring of a loan or monetization of an asset might make the difference in profitability.
